Make my 300tdi defender sound louder and beefier

hi i am new to this forum and have loved landrovers since i was young, the defender was always my favorite, also my dad has the rangerover sport which is very nice ! totally differnet to my defender... i am 17 and recently passed my driving test and the landy is my 1st car !

anyway thats the introduction...
now, i was wondering how can i make my 300tdi defender sound louder and more beefier if anyone gets me also another thing, i am from Mansfield (Nottinghamshire) and was wondering if there are any good places to take my defender off the road and some training would be helpfull as i am in-experienced driver, i have been to a local place which we call 'the desert' (if there is anyone familure with it) and there are lots of defenders there and its fantastic for offraoding but i just dont no waht im doing, i noi the basics, not to brake going down hill (use 1st in low box) but some help and advice is need here!!

The desert is private property and the police have been clamping down and seizing peoples vehicles.


iv been going to the desert for nearly 2 years now with my crossers and all my mates iv been goin nearly every sunday and not yet seen anyones bike or vehicle benn taken away

whether you've been stopped or not the point is the desert is private property and as such it's illegal to drive on the site. If you get a pull (much easier in a landy than it is on a bike) they can seize and crush your vehicle.

Stick to legal lanes and pay and play sites That way you don't go giving 4x4 users a bad name. trying to keep what few lanes we do have is hard enough without tossers driving where they like and getting lanes closed.
