M62 crank holding tool help / advice please

They are about £20 each for pattern new, your call but i would see which ones compress or are stuck in and go from there and as saint says i would prefer new if you can. There are a few used sets on ebay and i would try contacting Scott at Emmots of Colne or James at gentleman of salvage if you want to go down this route, i have used them both and would recommend, either ebay or contact direct and i am not on commission from either although i wouldn't mind some

Top job, what did you do regarding followers ?

I rode my luck in the end - there wasn't time to pull the camshafts and give them the squeeze test. All's well, though, it runs more quietly than I can recall.

Now I just need to sort out an air leak from one of the front struts (have started a new thread here). Probably my bad but I can't work out what went wrong...
