Dear all,

I have a question that I hope someone can help me with.

While rebuilding my Fairey for the LT95 I got a bit confused when I studied the exploded view:

I have two overdrives (in parts) and with both I can not find the washer nr 34. Part of my question is: is nr 34 in the pic the bronze washer that is fixed inside nr 29?

It is possible to insert nr 30 to 33 into nr 29 from the small side only, because of the bronze washer inside. But if put nr 30 to 33 in place, there is a 4 mm gap left. (see pic below) This might indicate that I am missing the washer.

Am I missing a washer here? This is all I have to place inside nr 29 from the small side.

This pictures shows the bearings in place, it is not level with the plain of part nr 29.

I hope I did explain well enhough for you to understand the situation. Otherwise please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Arnoud

That looks slightly different to my parts list !!

27 is " Oil seal service kit 2 items RTC7173 "
28 is " Thrust bearing service kit RTC7174 "

Its been a long time since I had one apart so I couldnt really say unfortunatly but the kits are available tho .

Thanks for the reply. I think the OD on the pic you posted is a series overdrive.

Mine is the type for the LT95 gearbox (fitted to early 110's and Range Rovers).

So...still trying to find out about my "missing?" washer.

Best regards.

Arnoud
