its obviously a different ratio, but i think what your referring to is that you cant remove the input gear with t/box in situ on a 1.2 like you can with a 1.4 and 1.6 boxes

Hi,just about to reconnect the propshafts but thought I'd spin it all over first to check everything is alright.
When I have the gearbox in any gear and the transfer box in low or high range everything completely locks. I have tried barring the engine over gently so that it is being driven from the correct end,but it doesn't seems to make any difference.
Have I done something wrong?
The propshaft couplings will spin over opposite ways,but trying to spin them the same way also results in it locking.
Any suggestions would be welcome,

have you put a long bolt in the top drivers side the bolt under high/low housing

There is a stud in that one,seemed to be excessively long though.

Sorry,I misunderstood.
Just taken the one put you mean, I believe it was one of the shorter ones,it's 40mm from flange to end.

After removing that bolt,it will now turn over.
Seems that I got the bolts in the wrong sequence.
Am I likely to have done any damage to the internals?
Thanks for the suggestion, I do seem to have an innate ability to cause problems.

thats fine as the 2 going n from the front should be the shortest
just seen last post it will be ok

That's a relief.
There's usually something I manage to get wrong, good thing the forums and the experience are here otherwise I'd be completely stumped.
Thanks for everyone's help, should be back up and running again soon with any luck.
