Lt77 gear box issue

Hi all,
I have had an Ashcroft adapter fitted to my discovery 200 tdi gear box so I can use the defender gear assembly in my 90 but now it keeps getting stuck in 5th gear?? It was fine till the conversion was done Apart from the gear stick sticking up through the seat box. Also the gear stick assembly has now been broken by the mechanic as he somehow lost parts from it Needless to say I'm not using him now but I'm now stuck with the problem and just want it fixed as I'm driving around not using 5th because I'm worried it will get stuck again!! I'm also after a gear stick assembly to replace my poorly one that the previous mechanic broke if anyone has one? (Same as the picture)

id remove top and check interlock spigot on underneath of top is mating with interlock spool on selector shaft

Been and picked up a second hand gear selector assembly tonight and fitted it making sure that everything is where it should be (to my limited knowledge). I will give it a test run tomorrow and fingers crossed all will be well how do I get alerts to replys on landy zone? I'm pants with technology!!

There's a box at the bottom of any post you make call 'more options' click that and there's a box you can tick there.
However.....it don't work all the time if at all, used to but not no more.
