Hi, I have a 2006 LR3 HSE that has a problem with the suspension. I replaced the compressor and (relay) a wee while ago but found that the rear drivers side sat slightly lower than the rear passenger side. I recently upgraded to 20" with Continental tyres and am now experiencing a very uncomfortable ride. On a smooth surface it is fine but you hit the smallest bump (i.e cats eyes) and it's like you have hit a big pot-hole. Before I go and spend a wee fortune at the dealers, has anyone experienced the same problems. The suspension moves up and down as it should and it isn't losing any air, tried the soapy water trick on all the pipes and checked the heights overnight. Any guidance would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi, it would help if you state which vehicle you actually have. As you have put LR3 , I would have thought you have a Discovery. Or is it a typo and you meant RR3

Addit: as you have also posted the same issue in the Discovery forum, if you do have an LR3, you are more likely to find an answer there. Although @Saint.V8 might be able to help?

hiya

op has indeed posted over in the discovery section ;)

nothing like land rover confusing matters when they rebadged the D3 to a LR3 for the american market, lol

but maybe op wants to ask questions in the rangie section for the body and disco section for the running gear

i better get back in my box ;);)

It's ok you can sit on, rather than in your box ;) I was just trying to get clarification for those with the knowledge to help. It could be a typo or it could be correct but the actual model needs known for an answer to be found.
I'll come sit beside you, if that's ok and watch the clever folks answer :D

pheeeeewwww , was getting dark in ma box , hang on better get the cushions out for u to sit on , cause splinters an all ;):D

i got confused at first why it was called LR3 but then im easily confused

have asked the op of what the old size of the tyres were and new ones , inc the height from the centre of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel arches to see if the height sensors are calibrated or it’s just the tyres

am still rebuilding my air suspension and surprising how quickly u learn of the mistakes etc

i do try and be helpful , well when my brain decides to work that is , lol

Cushions would be nice, I'm not getting any younger, you know ;)
I'm sure I saw a thread somewhere, where Ant had the measurements for 20" . I think @Bemble also has a knowledge of these things.
If I could find the post again I'd link to it but it's hiding.
