Re: nephro and pardec have you used this depot of Landranger in Atherton - 01942 -888200?

How did you rate their service, what jobs did you get done, more so are they genuine??

Basically I don't want to be told something needs replacing if it doesn't if you know what I mean.

Cheers :D

Had a few bits done at there depot in stockport, good service and not a bad price.

Going to contact them for an auto gearbox oil change this week, see what the price is like (already have the oil)

I get all my spares from atherton, have done for years and before that when they were at cheadle. Martin who runs it is the dogs, what he doesn't know isn't worth knowing.

I've found out for myself and have to agree I just got my TD4 back from then tonight after them doing a full 3 part clutch change for me.

I dropped it into them this afternoon and 7 hours later all done, amazing.

I'm happy with that,definitely a cracking service. :D

However one week on after the work, the gear change has now become slightly difficult to engage into 1st and 2nd etc.

Also there is an audible hissing noise coming from the front lower part of the engine, whilst the engine is running, which wasn't there before I took the vehicle into them!

This was instantaneously noticeable when I got home.

I just hope they haven't damaged anything whilst doing the job and as for the notchy gear change, I thought it would be smoother but obviously not.

Turns out it was the vacuum pipe that runs to the EGR valve, the end of the rubber pipe was not making a tight seal.

Cut end off, and reconnected - hissing noise now gone.

As for the gear change difficulty sometimes, I will live with it!
