LR 110 A pillar problems

Stumbled on problem of my own creation and need some advice to solve.
I replaced the corners of my bulkhead- top pieces that include the top door hinge holes and part of the metal under the front vent.

Now my top hinge seems to miss by about half and inch - holes are now half inch further back and the door does not line up.

I am considering pulling the panel back off, and replacing the a pillar, them re- installing the sheet metal on the blkhead.

Anyone have any experience with this or see a flaw in the plan. Much appreciated.

You answered your own question, you did it wrong and need to cut it off and try again, you should always measure first before cutting
