Hi all looking into the pros and cons of fitting lpg to the swb series 3, a couple of questions has anyone done this on a budget? There are a few kits from different cars on eBay will any of these fit? Can any lpg tank be fitted under rather than inside with brackets made to suit? Many thanks jonny

DIY LPG is not a good idea
If you get and fit a kit yourself then make sure you get it checked and certified by a pro fitter
Think about it you wouldn't do anything with your gas at home. It's the same thing
Rant over
As for will any kit fit hmmm not sure
Would think that as long as it came from a vehicle with same cylinder size and number then it should work

Cheers for the reply I was just looking into it as an option, I have also read up on having to get it certified for safety and ins reasons, I do all my own gas work as I'm gas safe registered ( old corgi ) I did a search and couldn't find any that had done it on a series and wondered why? Thanks again :)

i once fitted one to a volvo in 2003, bought the kit from heanor lpg all the kit for about £600.00 that was a doughnut tank to fit in place of the spare wheel, i did all the donkey work and the electrics this was a bit harder as it was an injection system, then i took it back and they checked it all and set it up on the computer, i ran it four 3 years wthout any problems, you will find it qyite a simple job as yours is caburettor
