NEWBIE HERE - Hi - I have recently picked up a 2002 disco, 7 seat, diesel black leather/suede seats - and I love it - the only issue I have is that I am 6'-3" tall and have no adjustable height seat - so cant see traffic lights when stopped at them and cant see overhead motorway signs when I get close enough to read them - thinking I need to drop the seat 2" lower - therefore where can I get an adjustable height seat for said landie - or can I fit a lower profile seat from some other car and make to fit with homemade brackets etc. any one got a secondhand seat I could buy?. Anyone else had this problem and solved it - please advise - thanks - mikeward62 :clap2:

I guess you have a long torso ?

I have long legs and am always trying to get more leg room in motors without ending up sat in the back. - although ive just tried to fit cobra buckets into a truck cab 90 and its not working well for me.

My solution when i borrow conventional cars is to stop further back from the lights and motorway signs are pretty big - you need specs ?

I did have a hyundai once where i had to remove the sun visor as it was in my eye line even folded up , piece of **** car.

Thanks
My sight level lines up almost with the top of the windscreen
I'm gonna try and fit a seat from an old ford next week
Gonna take out the sliding backwards rails and fix it to brackets on the floor
Should be one and a half inches lower or more. Hope that helps.
Already got some blk front seat covers. I'm determined to sort this problem out
As I'm quite fond of the car and want to get the drive post right.

Saab seats are comfy in a land rover setting and height adjustable. BMW not so much. Car seats aren't always comfy when mounted more upright / higher. Mount on channel / box section and drill to suit. I did this for similar (freak) reasons in range rover.
