I hope I'm not tempting fate but I have had my Discovery 2 for 5 weeks now and so far nothing has gone wrong or fallen off! There were a couple of things not working when I got it but the previous owner had spent a pretty penny on a few of the things that commonly fail plus having it up graded to facelift spec.
It has the usual EGR removal, de-cat straight through exhaust (stainless) and re-map. New steering box, gearbox clutch and flywheel. 4 AT tyres. Face lift lights, fat roof bars ES spec grey leather interior, dark tinted windows to the rear, 18" ES wheels (wow they are heavy!) plus LR cupholders, rubber mats, dog guard and a modern sony stereo. The car looks fab, drives well and most importantly tows our caravan superbly.
Having not got my hands dirty on a car for many years I have rediscovered the enjoyment in working under the bonnet and so far have done the following;

Changed engine oil and ALL filters.
Replaced front pads and brake fluid
Fixed faulty reversing light
Cleaned MAP sensor
Had the aircon re-gassed and repaired (dodgy wiring)

It is having the underneath waxoyled next week and then I just have to sort out the reluctant electric seats and decide whether to replace the faulty fuel water sensor. Over the next few weeks I will change the oil in the diffs.
Is there anything else I should be looking to do in terms of regular maintenance?

The car is dark blue and the bodywork is in very good nick and I can't stop looking at the thing sitting on my drive. Pics to follow when I get around to it.
:)
Thanks to this forum and also www.discovery2.co.uk for all the info I have gleaned along the way.

Hi hope you have many years of enjoyment I have had my td5 for just over 7 years had very little trouble with it. when I first got it I was told by a landrover specialist to make sure I changed the transfer oil every 2 years or even more if it was used off-road a lot and don't forget the prop needs greasing a quick warning if it is a auto keep a eye on the gear box cooler pipes the only time it has let me down is when the pipes came apart last year look after it and they are great motors enjoy Tom.

Is there somewhere I can get a service schedule so I can see what needs doing when?

Invest in some good work shop manuals, Amazon tend to have a few.
Bought 2 for the 110, Haynes & Landrover one, found having both works well as more detail then, even though have worked on loads of different engines etc cant beat having a reference manual...and this site of course :):D
