Hello to all,
Recently picked up a freelander 1.8xei 2000model 58,000 miles has some problems which i suppose is to be expected.
first is i think the vc has packed up when on full lock it shudders and loses power so i took off the rear prop and the problem stopped so i guess i need a new vc.
Also found that the clutch bite is very low and 1st and 2nd gear are very stiff to select and reverse grinds before going in seemingly this is a sign that the clutch master and slave has failed would that sound correct???

But the thing that concerns me the most is that when i throttle off there is a hell of a drone comes through the car almost like bearing noise but like i say only when i throttle off and you can also feel it . its almost like when a cat has gone on the exhaust and you throttle off above 70 you can hear it but this is doing it from 3rd gear down anyone come accross this before any advice?????
cheers swifty...

Dont think its tyres to be honest cos its only doing it when i come off the throttle im going to give the exhaust a good look at the weekend and see if its that. its almost verging on being a gudder wonder if it could be engine mounts...???
