My '97 300tdi auto has lost a significant amount of power which appeared to happen overnight.
It has an uprated intercooler, decat, egr delete and a tuning box and goes very well for a 300 normally, but now when engine is hot will very slowly accelerate to 60mph and doesn't want to go much more!!
I have replaced lift pump and MAF but it's still the same. Appears to get less powerful as engines warms bizarrely and even foot to floor will not smoke at all so suspect it's not fuelling correctly??
Don't believe it's turbo as can here slight whining as revs rise. Don't think it's the tuning box either but can't be sure. Starts and runs perfectly otherwise so don't believe engine mechanical and only covered genuine 112k miles. Any thoughts appreciated.
