Hi all, new boy here just mainly been lurking but im needing some advice please.

I went to a local pub last night, a few John Smith's later we ventured to a local night club too bust some John Travolta moves as you do. I stumbed out 3am and got a lift back to the other half's house 12 miles away from home, had a bit of a tiff with her and she decided the best thing to do was smash my phone, so a 12 mile walk with no way of calling help was enjoyed

So i check i have the usual equiptment, keys, wallet etc only to discover no keys for my Discovery which i left at a pub in town. I've been to every pub i was in, checked car i got a lift in but no keys, simply gone. I don't have a spare either which doesnt help.

So after that long winded story we get to my question, what are my options for gaining access/ getting it going again. Smashing the drivers window in is at the top of my list at the moment to put it on the back of a truck and take it back to my workshop, but i dont want to go getting excited before i explore all other options, and once im in, changing all the locks ignition doors etc is seeming the best option at the moment but how will i get round my central locking/ immobilisor?

Thanks for any help in advance. :D

hate to say it mate but as your first post your technically asking us how to break into a disco....

.....some might say this is a tad fishy.

PS, this is a warning: some on here will not be so kind to you for this as your first post.

Would need to get the handbrake off to get it on the lowloader.

A local company say's they can make me a key using my chassis number so im going to speak to them tomorrow, and another firm will programme me a new fob. Hopefully works out that way.

Glad you're getting sorted out with new keys and fob.

As for getting it onto the back of a lorry, surely just backing off the transmission brake adjuster would allow it to be winched up a ramp?

That never even crossed my mind.

All going well these chaps will be able to get me a new key made up and there will be no need for anymore carry on with it. i will be making sure i get a spare made this time aswel!

Have you considered apologising to the OH, flowers and chocolates perhaps :D

Bet thats where your keys are

Ps when next you intend to get ****ed out your head use it first and don't take your keys

I don't usualy but as i was planning on staying at the other half's i had them with me so i could pick the landy up when i got back to town the the following evening.

I think i have it sorted, local company got my key code from Land Rover and have made me another key. They are going to the Landy tomorrow to programme a new key fob. Rather expensive night out now that this is another £200!

you could ask a pikey!! they can take em away easy as pie !!!
main dealer will supply keys from vin assuming its got its original lockset fitted !!!!!
