Lost keys, new steering lock ??

Hello,
I have stupidly lost the keys for my series 3 petrol and I’m wondering if anyone knows any locksmiths that can make a new key from the ignition barrell, from the Facebook forums there are people who claim you can get this done however no one in the Dundee region will take the job on. If anyone has any further info on this that would be greatly appreciated

When you took your steering lock off did you notice a white label with red print with the words "key number" attached to the column or loom ?
You can get a key cut to a lock, but you need a proper locksmith, not a Key Cutter.

Is there any chance that LR might be able to tell you this info if you get in touch with them and provide proof of ownership?
If not can you not get one from a breakers of some sort, key and barrel?
I do know the car is a bit long in the tooth for breakers.
