Lost key disco 3

Long story short I have a lost a key for a 05 disco 3 that needs moving, it’s unlocked and we have the non chipped key so can turn the barrel but won’t deactivate the immobiliser. Spoke to a few locksmiths who’ve said they can’t get keys sorted for it for a few months and won’t be able to do anything anytime soon. Also not interested in spending a great deal of money on the vehicle as it’s nearly scrap as it is, is there any way to disarm the immobiliser to get it started with the service key or anything else that can be done with it

Alas there are ways but sadly wouldn't talk about it on an open forum

But as it’s basically scrap what about getting it onto a flat bed and take it to where ever it needs to go

Well that’s what I would have done with it but it’s my girlfriends parents and weve lost the key and there being hard work

no disrespect too u but indeed wouldn’t discuss the ways round the system

sadly the few option u have is buy another key from the dealer seeing you’ve lost the master key , but that would be a good £ 2-300 , plus waiting times , flat bed it to ur girlfriends parents and then let them decide if there going to ultimately scrap it

or a mobile key cutting service but u would need the V5 and proof of id who owns the vehicle , would be the same with a dealer requiring the same , but imagine it would be the same of a good few hundred quid along with the time scale

may I ask out of curiosity why is it scrap then plse

Well if they are hard work let them sort it out, no point you and your girlfriend fretting.

I totally understand mate, we will be able to sort it but I just wanted to know if there were any quick ways. It’s auto gearbox is nackered and the air suspension isn’t right, it’s just a rough runabout farm type vehicle so doesn’t really matter

You don't need a key to scrap it, as above will cost £2-300 for a coded key, advertise as spares or repair buyer collects
