Loose window winder

The Defender window winder on the drivers door works too well, each time I slam the door shut, the window drops fully down on the winder mechanism.

The winder works fine and does not jump any teeth etc. Is there anything that can be nipped up or is it new winder time?

If I do need a new winder, should the £14 BP specials be avoided. where is best to source good ones.

Think there's a spring loaded thingy in the recess behind the winder part that causes a certain amount of friction, may be broken or worn !! You can pack out the window guide to make it a bit stiffer !!!!
