Looking for side tubes

Hi,

I am looking for side tubes that will offer sill protection.

I've seen these but I dunno if they're really gonna offer much protection:

there not really for protection, if anything they actully cause more damage to the car when you bottom out.

i got chrome ones on mine but there only for the looks - although they provide great protection from other people catching your paintwork when opening their doors - (you know the score, old dear getting out her car and slam ! straight into your door !!)
