Looking for help before I give up!

As mentioned on previous threads I'm having problems unlocking my Disco with the key fob, (I see this seems to be a common fault). I have tried the door code and called out a locksmith with a new key etc..... but still the same problem.
I have messaged nearly all the mobile mechs in my area but not one will come out and have a look......so I am looking for advice before I decide to scrap her as she is no use to me sitting on my drive.

The EKA code.....and yes the key will unlock the car but the alarm goes off if I open the door and she won't start due to the immobiliser.

Are you sure the EKA code is correct and that a PO hasn't changed it?

As said above, are you sure you have got the correct EKA code? The number of turns in my code did seem excessive. especially when trying to do it in the pouring rain, but it did work. On the card it looked something like this 13-6-19-8. ) Remember, you only have 30 seconds to start the engine after you have used the code, otherwise it will re-immobilize the engine! Strangely, mine re-locked me out twice and then worked perfectly!! It turned out to be the becm (?) behind the glove box that had corroded a contact - according to my mechanic. It is now working properly, touch wood.
