One wealthy gentleman has sold his two land rovers discoveries, both owned only by him, one being a 2009 lr3 V8 with approx 74000kms , the other a 2004 with 96000kms. Both are HSE models. I have the chance of purchasing one via a general dealer.
To be frank, my mechanical skills are basic at best, and after reading the potential issues and mpg, insurance costs, I am truly at a crossroads.
Am i mad to try to take one of these on? Both are in remarkable condition. The 2009, last invoice was $32k where suspension was replaced, interior done.etc. The 2004 last invoice was $16k.

Please can you enlighten me.

I think an independent, thorough inspection wouldn't go amiss if you're not that savvy and it's your first time with land rover. Don't forget to check underneath, under plastics etc for salt damage
