Hello everyone,

I've managed to get my hands on a 1998 Freelander! It's in great condition, and runs really well. :)

The only niggling problem is that the dashboard LCD display for the Clock/Radio is almost completely broken. It's impossible to read it. :(

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might be able to find a replacement?

Many Thanks,

Kim

Uncle Willo done a how to fix it report on this . . . .go into search un read that first:) :) :) mind you he is a unusual clever earthling:D :D :p

Don't bother buying a new unit until you've at least tried fixing it. Mine was the same faded away over the course of 5 years. As the noble Ming says do the search. IT WORKS! After cleaning the contacts I noticed I'd overdone it a bit and rubbed some of the connections on the ribbon off but there was just enough to make contact by sliding it up a bit before taping it on. Initially there was improvement but a few segments didn't work but I cured that by folding up a bit of paper and putting it at the back of the box so it really pressed the conections home when the box is clipped back together.
