looking for a new front diff..?!?!

hi...changed my oil in my front diff yesterday and the oil looked like the paint you paint a silver car with and it got a lot of "play" so i guess its time to look for a nother diff now my question is my car is a 99`110 defender with 24 spline diff does a front diff fits from all 90/110 defenders

Diffs are either 10 or 24 spline, and I believe the same on Defenders and Discos

On the 90, front and rear diff are the same part number

Part number was FTC3272, superseded by TBB000250 and FTC5142

Several on ebay - condition unknown, or Paddocks, 4Muddyfeet, Island 4x4 etc. They seem to all be Bearmach part - no idea if good or bad!

Get one of the guys to double check me before you splash out

in denmark..found a complete 96` 110 front axle for 100£ with 160.000km on it hope its in mint condition...but will it fit..?

Axle part numbers are different for the 90 and 110

Need someone with more knowledge than me to advise whether it can be 'made' to fit

Are all diffs basically the same for rover axles? I have a similar problem with my 90. I have removed the diffs and they are both different internally. They also were held on by studs where the four centre studs were shorter as the lip on the diffs mating serface was recessed. The diffs new diffs i have here don't have the recesses. So I have to knock the studs through and change them for longer ones and of course they are special order!
