Hi guys,

I've always admired the Land Rover as a no-nonsense vehicle and decided to buy a Discovery 1 for some New Year fun!

I would prefer the 300 tdi and an auto box to give me a capable but relaxed vehicle. I had my eye on a vehicle listed on autotrader but it has since been withdrawn from sale, as it appeared to be a bargain at only £1200.

Anyway, if anyone knows of such a vehicle that is for sale please give me a shout. I have a budget of around £1600. I've looked at a few vehicles so far but the sheer amount of rush that has eaten the boot/wings/arches has been staggering.

Im in Manchester too, i got a 1995 Disco 300tdi for sale i'll let it go for £1600 if you're interested, its had a ridiculous amount of work done over the last 18months inc, BRAND NEW cylinder head, new radiator, new swivel balls and bearings, new sills, new boot floor and side bits next to the boot floor, new rear wheel arch bits where you open the rear doors, All done by Adventure 4x4 ££££, all belts done, 2 inch lift fitted (never been off road), NEW BFGoodrich 245/75/16 All Terrain tyres on Wellar Wheels, interior is pretty much mint apart from bit of paint on the back carpet (which hides under a mat) and a bit of dash curl (common) seats have been covered most of their life so are great, twin sunroofs dont leak! no oil leaks at all! slight dent on passenger wing nothin major) its done 112,000miles, 1 previous owner and got 12mnths MOT, its far too good for what i need, if you're interested let me know, cheers

Hi bud i live north manchester just up M66 and have a 94 disco 300tdi auto... full service history with full receipt back up.. previously owned by land rover employee so he had any stuff it needed done. Back door sills etc all sound no surface rust out side and only rust i can find is some on inner wing (very common and easy to fix). its on ebay for £1699 but i would accept offer in area of your budget Tax tested til july 2010.
