Looking at getting my first Defender

I'm just in the process of shoping around for a defender, would be grateful if anybody has any tips?

Defenders are making silly money now. And they’re not everyone’s cup of tea. Make sure you drive one if you haven’t to see if you can live with it.

Buy on condition and not age or mileage. Some have done few miles but had a hard life. Check all VIN and ID numbers are present as they’re easy to sell on a stolen one. Check the condition of the chassis and bulkhead as these are the expensive bits to replace. And if you get one, make sure you invest in some decent security measures too as they’re popular with thieves.
