Having used the wealth of knowledge here whilst searching for the right vehicle, I am now waiting expectantly for my new purchase to arrive. As I can now stand up as a genuine Defender owner, I figured it was time to join for real. Good morning all. Surrey resident, soon to be the proud keeper and fixer of an '06 TD5 double cab. Let the games begin....

Am trying to save his soul. When the tratter arrives it will be too late.

I fear I have been beyond salvation for a while now, regardless of my vehicle choice. But I thank you for your noble efforts none the less.
I think the Defender will suit me better- simple, and able to be repaired with repeated blows and strong language. I'm not sure the cultured sophistication of the Freelander would sit well with me....
