got my log book today, theyve changed it to 5 seats now and the body type to a 4 x 4 utility

so at least now the insurance company will be happier and not to try and charge me commercial rates

thanks again guys for all your help with this one

Should it not be registered as an estate?

And you still have to tell the insurance of all the mods. Their records will relate to factory spec.

adrian flux wouldnt give me a policy at first cos my 90 was 4x4 utility on log book and not estate, had to change policy with them so be careful mate,if in doubt ask your insurer what they have it down as.

hiya

the dvla said they wouldnt change it to an estate as it didnt leave the factory like it.

i did advise my insurance company and they said as ive now got 5 seats on my log book thats ok

on the log book ive got

freelander TD4 swb auto
then body type light 4 x 4 utility
taxation class disabled

this is what ive advised the insurance company and declared everything that ive done so i hopefully wont have to worry if something happens and that im covered

am insured with the AA and after i explained what i had done they seemed ok

thanks again

That sounds good. As you've told them the whole story you should be covered ok. It's amazing how many people don't.

hiya

i made sure i put everything in writing as if anything happened they couldnt say i didnt tell them and not pay out if my FL got stolen, burnt etc.

all the best
