I have a 2001 P38. While driving or even when the car is off and sitting in my driveway only the passenger side (Right hand side - US) lock with start locking and unlocking like crazy. My key fob works and I can unlock and lock the car like normal with no issues.
When I am driving and it starts to lock and unlock I can stop it by manually locking the driver side (US) lever. That will cause all the doors to lock and it will not repeat the problem until I unlock the car.
I figured the problem was the passenger side door lock actuator. I took it out everything looked good I gave it a good bath in electrical cleaner and greased up the moving parts. It still repeats the problem but after going crazy 2 or 3 times the lock with stay down and if I manually try to unlock it by pressing up on the drivers side lever it will not move, it will however unlock if I press the key fob.
Any ideas?
