Glad its all sorted. Shame landrover didn't think of putting a lock on the passenger door as well other manufactures do that and then put a removable cover on. O well never mind best check if mine will work with the key!!!!!!

The four digit code has to be entered just right otherwise it will lock you out for 7 hours. Firstly reconnect your full charged battery. Keep all doors locked and wait for the 'Lock Out' warning display to go from the dash, this can take up to 7 hours. Once it has gone, place key in drivers door with door locked. If your code is 1234, you will need to turn the key once to unlock - then key to neutral - twice to lock - then back to neutral - three times to unlock - then neutral - four times to lock - back to neutral. Now open door with key and it should beep twice and your done. If you don't do it exactly right, it will lock you our for another 7 hours!!!

 Where did you get that idea from??

This is taken from the owners manual...

The Owners Manual... said:
If an incorrect code has been entered:

If the code has been entered incorrectly, the anti-theft alarm indicator light will continue to flash. In this case, return to ’1’ and re-enter the code.

After three failed entry attempts, the security system invokes a delay period of thirty minutes during which the system will not accept any further attempts to enter a code.

In my manual it stated that to enter the eka code first turn lock anti clockwise four times, I think is is for a 99 on vehicle.
This I did and the alarm made a tone and indicators flashed accordingly.
Again in my manual it states that you cannot enter the eka code whilst "key code locked out" is displayed. When I re powered system this came up but extinguished itself very quickly, within minutes not hours.

Even if you are a criminal and you have made it as far as getting into the vehicle, you still have the alarm to deal with and then you still have to get it started which would be an impressive thing to do without the right key, we all know how temperamental the things are :D

Still, posting how to break into the car on a public forum isnt a good idea and I think you should really remove that post.
