L322 locked out again ! .. there is another way..

Hi Landylovers .. a few months ago i got a flat battery (2002 4.4 V8) and couldn't get in ( no hidden door locks .. trawlers the internet for day's ect) ended up bricking the window to get in ! .. now its happen again!! This time ive found another way.. the plastic piece that spans the car at the bottom of the windscreen unclip this sbove the battery and the bit that goes up the side of the screen ..pull this away and this gives you a couple of inches to ply with ..you can see the live terminal and with a small crocodile clip i manage to get on.. earth on the tow eye at the front put jump leads on and hey prestow!.. and no violence required! !!

Hi Disco .. yes i presume i have a underlying problem... i only use the truck at weekends .. thats no problem.. it only happens if i leave it for two weeks.... then im in the sh#t... many thanks stuart..

I had the same problem battery would be flat after two weeks, turned out my Sat Nav unit and head light wiper motors were to blame, now after 6 weeks it starts first time

Shouldn't your drivers door open with the key or do you not have a keyhole ?
I've heard of some people getting a 12v feed to the starter motor to provide power but think you tried that last time ?

Hi.. yep looked for hidden key hole last time.. mine must be a real early one.. also tried underneath to get to the starter... couldn't get to it (heat shield in the way if i recall ) .. ive orderd more wire and connectors to run some wires right off the battery to somewhere i can get at them so if it happens again i wont have to work so hard !!! ( why i didnt do that last time is a mystery ) ha ha...

The hidden keyhole I am only aware of is when people fit the door handle covers and there is an option to not have a hole in one of the covers to hide the key hole. Mine is a 2004 and has a keyhole , shall I say keyhole again, ok keyhole

mines is 2002 and has a keyhole, battery was so flat once the fob didn't even open the doors
