Hi All

Appologies if in the wrong section !!

Just wanted to see if anyone has had this done to their Landy.

We are in the process of opening a dealership for Line-X Coatings in Hampshire and would welcome any comments from existing or potential customers.

How much would it cost to coat underneath a tratter and will you strip the rust first, or spray over it as it will stop the tin worm dead in it's rust? Can you spray inside the chassis with confidence it will coat everything?

Hi mate

Please excuse the ignorance but wtf is a tratter

Is this code for tractor or the underside of a Landy?

Quick answer is the cost does not include prep work like de-rusting or conversion but this can be done at extra cost although having converted my own 90's rust i would say it would be a lot cheaper to do this part yourself for the time it would take.
I would also recommend converting first rather than just coating over.
Whilst this coating is the dogs danglies in my personal opinion it is not designed to spray inside small components such as chassis members, i can check if this has been done but i dont think it is possible to get the gun nozzle in far enough. Still better to treat inside with waxoil type stuff.
As far as cost goes, depending on what you actually want coating, the flat bed up to the galvanised rail would cost around £250 but i would have to confirm actual cost of under side.
A lot less if say the chassis was clear and the tub off etc. As with everything it depends on how it comes in etc.
If you can PM me more specifics i can give you a better idea.
Recommend visiting the Line-X web site for a better overall picture.

ah, so its a bed liner as apposed to a rust preventative/treatment etc.

That is correct a bed liner for pickups. Works well and is anti slip/slide, of stuff you are hauling, is a rough finish and can rub your skin off. IT IS NOT A ANTI RUST COATING FOR THE UNDER SIDE OF BODYS OR CHASSIS. Zebart is a better product and designed as a under coating rust reducing product.

I often carry muddy stuff in the back of mine. Someone said it tends to be really difficult to clean so is ALWAYS muddy looking.
