Lincs/ Yorkshire Lanes

Fairly new to this game but my god is it fun. I've been playing about on lanes local to me using bywaymap.com to find a couple of short lanes.

Now i've had a taste I want to find something bigger and better. So as the title suggests i'm looking for some lanes in or around Lincs or Yorkshire. I have already done a search on here but i'm struggling to locate much and don't really wanna trek out 40+ miles to try to find something on a whim.

So if anybody could share any info, I live in North Lincs so the closer the better really but would be willing to travel if I knew where to find anything decent.

Ideally hoping to find people more experienced and up for a decent tour/day out in the area.

Due to the number of idiots no-one will tell you until they know you. Keep an eye out here for any groups going out in your area and ask if you can go along.

Thought that might be the case, I would imagine though that Lincolnshire being the way it is there probably aren't that many lanes nor people looking to drive them, so there could be a small group of people or couple of local heroes who I could tag along with? I could be wrong.

Problem is i'm not really a big internet person, don't have a great deal of time to spend on the computer due to work/ family commitments and this is the first forum i've joined since I was about 15 lol so the chances of me building up any form of 'status' or trust from other members from regular posting and getting to know people in the cyber world are minimal.

More of a meet up, have a good day out then laugh about it over a couple of beers type.

I live close by Kirton Off Road Centre so if there's anybody that frequents there about?

Which is why I suggested asking to tag along. There's a few active groups in Yorks but dont know about Lincs so much

if you live close to kirton off road center try finding north linc's club they do days out especially on a couple of testing lanes in the market rasen area that run up to the race course area (or try going for a night out in markrt rasen ask about for steve davison local lane nut)

There are a few groups if you look on facebook they will take you out and about.

There is plenty of lanes around us once my V8 is taxed I plan to do a few with a couple of mates I'll PM you on here if anything actually happens anytime soon.

Have a look in the greenlaning section for South Yorkshire, we go out a bit, often into Lincs and elsewhere.
There aren't a lot of lanes near you, so you'd probably have to travel, but then that's like most of us!

Be careful with that site. I'm the GLASS rep for North Yorkshire. I checked some of the ones it shows and they are TROd and therefore illegal to drive.
