Has anyone experienced any serious limitations with hybrid tyres when off roading? I'm living in the Falklands and have a trip planned and someone baulked at the thought of me not having full blooded off road tyres.

I'm confident that sensible driving will mitigate most potential dramas.

The route is routinely used by large groups of tourists and most grass.

Any thoughts?

By Hybrids do You mean All terrain tyres ?

I ran BFG AT's for 3 years. Wet grass or bit of mud were pretty crap I found. Seemed good on wet rock and road etc. Probably a good choice for trips to africa as for the falklands never been there but wouldnt be my first choice of tyre
