Someone has imported a Land Rover Lightweight into the Bahamas.

I went to the airport this morning and noticed this really ugly thing parked in the lot so I went for a look.
Sure enough its a Land Rover, no doors and no roof.
Painted camo with the spare on the bonnet.
Real military looking tyres and what looks like military numbers on the rear.

Its really really ugly!

I would love to own it :D

It also looks smaller than my 90?

Very cool looking truck, first one that I have ever seen in real life.

When did they stop making these?

loved my old series 3 lightweight, wish i never sold it. Never got stuck once offroading and i just loved it

think they stopped in the late 70s. last ones released were early 90s I think. dont quote me on that though. started making them in 1968 I think and ran series 2a's through to 1973 then they changed to SIII. They made only 1900 RHD S2a's. not sure how many SIII.

Do you have any pics? is it LHD or RHD? be interested in the military plate, I can find some more info on it then.

Here is my series 2a
