Got up this morning and the interior light was on. Not switched on, but nicely on by itself. Landy is outside and it was a wet and windy night so guess something may have got damp somewhere (but been outside all winter!). Have none of the door switches (but I think there might have been once upon a time!). Any advice where to look to sort it out?

Best guess is condensation/water between the roof lining and the metal roof.

The interior lamp (if you remove the plastic cover) has 2 nuts (about 10mm from memory) which easily undo and allow you to separate the plastic housing that you see from a metal back plate.

Suspect that either the copper tracks that carry the current have got wet and effectively shorted, or the pin connector (moulded plastic push fitting) onto the metal back plate has got damp.

Dry it all off with kitchen towel, and liberally spray with WD40 or silicon spray.

Mine got so wet before I owned it that the copper tracks had coroded away - ended up replacing the fitting and glued plastic sheeting above it to try and keep it drier!

Mine drips water off the internal drip rail right onto my right knee which is next to the interior light switch. Suggest you check switch

There will be 3 wires going to the interior light.
A perm Live and 2 earths. One is controlled by the switch the other is controlled by the door switches. So who knows.
The wiring runs up the pillar at the side of the drivers side wind screen it is not unusual for the wiring to get trapped and damaged or wear through due to vibration. Yes it has happened to me.

If you dont have interior switches and you dont plan on fitting any you could cut the wire at the switch.
