So I was bored and saw someone with this and decided I couldn't live without it!

It's a sidelight in the indicator lens (ignore the blue looking led sidelight, it's not actually as blue, but the camera dimmed that and the indicator sidelight....I digress)

But soon as you indicate, the white goes off and the orange flashes until cancelled and a second later the white comes back on. It looks pretty good in the flesh and I wired them to permanent soon as the ignition is on to start.

Here's the orange, considerably bright as it should be...

And I finally got the rear lamp guards done same colour as the front....

Slightly less boring than the faded grey mess that was there before.

That concludes this weeks upgrades (or downgrades for the nay sayers :p)

Let the slagging begin :D

Whaaaaaaat?

The cheek of the man :p They look so much better in the flesh

Anyway: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-BAY15D...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

My car flagged up a bulb fault, so what I did was cable tie the indicator bulb & holder behind (in the engine bay) and take a feed off the + from the indicator wiring to the red of the bulb holder. So the original orange indicator bulbs flash in the bay out of the way and the LED indicators are now in the lens. A bit of a tiny faf to get them in there, but once in they stay.

The black is - (earth) obviously and the blue is the sidelight which I chose to run to a relay feeding the engine 12v+ when the ignition is on. However, you can feed off the original sidelight circuit wire. Because they are LED and low wattage, you wont cause any real problems if you piggy back off the original feeds.

If you don't understand my explanation, I can post a photo to let you see how I mean. Good luck :) And you're welcome ;)

Hey you got that idea of my old Citroen be-lingo van ,must have been when you were pulling that big cat past my work last week:eek::rolleyes::D........

The big cat belongs to my old boss. Some bird in an L322 waltzed past me on the uphill part of the Kessock Bridge, so I accelerated, cat an all, and caught her up so I could toot & wave :p I waved & waved till she burst out laughing :D

Anyway, didn't the Berlingerer have the indicator & side-lamp lenses two in one with separate bulb holders??

Mine is one bulb with both white & orange in there.

Anyway, which work did you see me and don't you think George looked the tits hauling that beast??

You wer hauling through past the smithton area wi yellow lights flashing ,n im no talking front ones ....George sounded like it was struggling :D:D:D:D:D:D,,...ALL I CAN SAY IS IT WAS A LOUD V8 SOUND...

Ha ha ha, you diiiick :p There was no struggle ;) I was hoofing it to get up to 40mph from the lights so I wasn't holding back traffic. Going up from the Raigmore Interchange, I beat the shit out of some Kia shed-u-like that tried and failed (I have witnesses) to accelerate past me. I was on the A9 doing 60mph in no time at all. George is a beast and you know it :p:cool::D

But she has a gorgeous sound :)

Thinking to remove rear boxes, cut the boxes off the pipes, then stretch the new pipe sections to the end as normal. So, a beefier sound without being too raucous under hard acceleration. Hell yes, ooooft, imagine

The jag must have been pushing then....:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:rolleyes:.I like the light idea ,to much time on yer hands:rolleyes:

That jag couldn't have pulled it's own doors shut! Engine roasted unfortunately. Ex wedding limo. Bodyworks immaculate too. If some parts will fit my XK8 my mate Ian going to be busy. I need a proper engine oil cooler. I fitted a £50 cooler and £12 worth of hydraulic pipework because Jaguar wanted £600

I also need a hydraulic engine mount (kid you not) and a front sub frame. That XK8 has 35k miles and FSH. I want to sell it & buy a Renault 5 Alpine Turbo

Anyhoo, what was the answer again??? :p

:D

The Jaguar dealers have a Trade Club where you can order routine service parts at cost. Every month they have other parts on a specials list. Just get the price list off the local Jaguar Garage. You might need a friendly indy to order the parts for you.
