Can anyone please help me ?????????

Ive got a 300tdi 3 door on a P plate and want to put some lift springs on it ( Cant afford full kit yet ) Is it possible to fit the springs whilst keeping the rubber doughnut coupling on the rear prop or do i have to change the flange to a 200tdi version and fit a wide angle prop ??

Thanks

If its 2" or less the you can use a 200tdi rear prop from the scrappy, no need for a wide angle prop. you could keep the one you have on now but dont expect the rubber coupling to last long and by the time you have gone through a few of the it would of worked out cheaper to just get a 200 prop and flange. I would recomend getting a wide angle front prop as the UJ only lasts a few months because of the strain on it.

I have a 3" lift on mine with the rear axle slightly cranked over and the rubber has lasted a good while so far, i would "suck it and see" before you go spending too much on other bits, maybe buy in a spare rubber ready in case it does go, then look at getting the 200tdi prop if you have problems.

Not all discos are the same some need it some dont, maybe you will be lucky.

I ve done about 13,000 mile on mine wit a 2" lift and not had to repalce the doughnut yet..... dont replace anything tilll you need to especialy if you got a tight budget......

I will be doing the 200tdi convertion when mine eventyal goes

I have got a full 2" kit and I done my prop donut at the weekend, I ended up laying in the mud replacing it, wasnt too bad a job but if your not a confident spanner monkey it could be very frustrating to do. I knew of the risks and was carrying a spare, it lasted 2 weeks since the lift but then it didnt look great before the lift. Im now going to see how long this one lasts but I do intend to do the conversion, hopefully after some other bits I want first...
