reet folks - need your help.....

on a high lift with the tubular adaptor for lifting landies - wots the diameter of the spigot?

I know that the lifting holes on a defender are 30mm diameter.
Are they all that size?
Do they need to be that size?
Are those holes used for anything other than a high lift?
If so - wot?

they are used with the standard LR pillar jack too. Mine dnt work, they have pulled out, and i have never known them use anything else.

Personally, with a high lift i would use the flat face of the high lift under the chassis/bumper etc.

I assume your talking defenders here? :)

can yu tell me wot the diameter of the pillar jack spigot is?
I take your point about hi-lifts, and yes - at the mo I am talking Defender.
It is just that I want to use a lifting tube as an attachment point , which will stop it being used as a lifting point, however if the jacking spigot is much smaller than the 30mm hole, then, by using a tube, it might still be possible to use it as a jacking point - if you see my drift?

cos my holes pulled out i dnt carry the pillar jack any more. But... the holes in the front of the chassis and the rear of the crossmember are the same size, and the lifting 'rod', spigot, thingy, is a pretty good fit into it. Im sure red will confirm, but i would say as a rough guess they are probably 27-28mm.

At least they are meant to be, mine are now about 60mm, and oval :)
