Hi All

Can anyone advise on this, i have just fitted a 2" lift bearmach springs hd and extended shocks etc to my defender. But the back of the truck is sitting loads higher than the front. I want it to and would have thought it would sit level, or as close to. this is about the best pic i have at the mo. It currently measures about 21" from front centre hub to botom of arch and 24" on the rear so a good 3" difference

Any thoughts

It's so it sits level with a heavy load ;)

I thought it may be but looks a bit silly unloaded i think!

Mine sits the same on blue hd springs mate, it will settle a little but not much.

Cheers bud, at least that puts my mind at rest that the springs are right.

Have you fitted the slightly bigger springs to drivers side ?

They are not different lengths on these springs side to side, just longer springs on the rear as far as i can see but thanks for the suggestion!

Glen

fit mediums on the back, or even light duty if you dont carry any weight, as heavy duties are rated +300kg approx

mine dont, i used terrafirma springs, dont know if it made a difference,

Richy, are yours med on the front aswell

One spring out of the two front will be slightly longer than other the longer one go's on the drivers side

Also have you put the thicker springs on rear as its easy to get wrong an fit fronts on rear it's the most common cause of this problem

Here's a pic of how little the difference is the one on the left is drivers side spring ImageUploadedByTapatalk1357752910.034936.jpg it makes a big difference when fitted as would if you have fitted the front springs on rear it's an easy mistake to make :D

Can anyone else confirm this. They are Definately correct in regards to front and back as the front springs are 360mm long and the rears are 440mm as confirmed with the supplier. But I really couldn't see a height difference side to side with these hd bearmach springs.

If its all as it should be then yeah maybe pick up some softer springs, but will it still drive ok with the different ratings so far apart front to back?

Cheers

Only Std height OEM type springs are handed. All HD & extended spriongs are equal heights.

I disagree

dont start that nonsense again, lol

My Old Man Emu springs were all different heights and were all labelled up so you cant get them wrong.

Just to throw another spanner in the works. I had blue BM springs before the OME's and the longer ones were definitely for the front, so they take the weight of the engine, winch bumper and winch etc etc.

Just double check with the supplier that youve done it right.
