Freelander 1 Life is fecking ****e

Took the Freelander for a jaunt to the Tekapo/Twizel "Mackenzie High Country" for a couple of days fishing & golf with my boy before he heads off to UK/Europe for a couple months. The old girl performed fantastic (as she always does!) through some foul weather to get us there...



Some of the courses were not playable...



Others were simply stunning This is the "Cairns Golf Course Tekapo" - 18 holes with a buggy for £20 - not to shabby Went round in 117 - pretty good for me !



Fishing was a bit 'iffy' - the Ohau canal was a blank, but the trusty Tekapo canal returned us 4 Salmon Mount Cook center frame from the Tekapo canal...

looks like a very nice place!

when we went there we couldnt see mount cook for the low clouds ....................

You have to be a bit lucky to see Mt Cook cloud free. We got very lucky, that snow got dumped the day before and we timed it just right. I think you had one of those days where the Alps shows you how much rain can hammer down in a day!

117mph in a buggy sounds fun. Do they allow you to take yer Freelander round anorl?
