Hello everyone,

Just seeking an answer as to why my rear brake light melted in its case. The car was parked outside under hot sun but I dont think that is the reason why.

I have managed to clear out the old bulb and the housing, I've ordered a replacement part via sight on ebay as I have no idea of the part number. A new bulb has fitted into the housing and Im going to test it to see if it works.

Does anyone know the part number for the wiring and what I call housing for the bulb as I may try and source the part here in Turkey.

Will the same issue reoccur after fitting back to my car or is there another issue I should look at fuse wise?

Any pointers or help is welcome.

Nick

Welcome.
It's fried , by electrical short circuit.
