a year or so ago i bought a trailer tent wich leaked as the canvas had become pourus so i went to google and started searching for something to reproof the tent and found http://www.camperlands.co.uk/ - and found a chemical called stormguard in 10 litre drums i used the entire drum in a parraffin gun on my compressor takeing in to consideration the safety guidelines
use only in a well ventilated area
wear a facemask
do not breathe vapour exessively

thats all it said on the drum so i put the tent up and me tressels round it in the back yard with a paper mask on making sure the wind was behind me blowing the fumes and vapour away from me half way through i started feeling light headed so stopped for a bit then carried on when feeling better

just abbout finished and wrapping up my tools and suddenly the dizzy feeling came back with serious shortness of breath ****ting myself cant breathe i foned an ambulance and was rushed in on pure oxygen

i took the empty drum with me so the docs would know what theyre dealing with and it turns out i had inhaled a fair bit of this stuff and it had sealed the inside of my lungs stopping me taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide took a week but i got right with no lasting effects

went back to the tent after that and turned the hoze on it just to see if it was worth it at full blast water just bounced off it and ran down off the canvas like a highly polished and waxed car absolutely brilliant

if anyone is thinking of useing this stuff for the canvas on their ragtop landy id highly recommend the stuff but for gods sake use a sealed full face gasmask
regards john

I had a similar result with Bleach n Lime scale remover down the toilet, knocked me out but didn't arf clean the loo.....

lets just say most people are afraid of chemicals like the waterproofer and the price of it aint cheap so ppl are afraid to **** it up with that sort of money i think i might start a weatherproofing service to see if it does well enough to get me off the benefits since ive now invested in a full headcover ww2 replica russian gasmask with charcoal filters and valves scared me daughter to death with it cant wait till haloween he he
