Thought it was time to say Hi, having peeked a few times at the forum.
God, you're all mad. That's reassuring... So, having promised my son a car if he did well at his GCSEs I now own (for now anyway, the boy says) a 1989 90 in really good nick, but with a destroyed N/A diesel. His winter project will be to shoehorn in a 200 TDi but not much else to do other than that to get it on the road, but I can't ever see us stopping there. Looks like years of fun and accessories ahead of us. Seems to be plenty of good advice here, so I don't think he'll even need a Haynes manual for Christmas (sorry, didn't mean to bring up the C-word so soon...) No doubt you'll be hearing from me again as I keep you updated (if you're interested that is?) Now then, I wonder if that jar of Swarfega is still on the shelf in the garage...
regards all , Mark
