LED main beam comes on when indicating

Hi

New to the site, but been a Defender owner for nearly 10 years. However i have a small issue at the mo with an LED head light upgrade. As the high beam comes on, on the same side i select to indicate. i.e. turn left , left high beam comes on. And same for the right. rather annoying and a bit of a problem for the impending MOT. I think it might just need a ballast resistor fitting but not too sure. Would welcome any suggestions or info on the subject.

Sounds like an earth problem - the wiring for the headlights and indicators are not connected. I'd stick a separate earth connection to the headlights and see if that cures the problem.

Might be worth asking where you got the headlight set from ...

Thats an easy fix will try it out see what happens , Thanks for the advice.
