have found if my tank is filled above about a third full it leaks. seems to be coming from the left hand side. does anyone know if theres anything there that could leak(hoses, inspection holes)?. had a look and its not coming from the pump.
any ideas??

What motor is it ?. . .

how do I identify the breather?, is it on the l/h side? where should it go if it is hanging down?. other than these few issues I love the little car, great ride, great on the beach, cheap on fuel. good looking. wish it was a woman!

Afor ya go a rippin bits orft check the easy bits , breathr pipe fits on ta filler and goes somewere else, look in yer heinz book, find out were ya fuel sender is and if ya got a pump up ya rear [no jokes please] think ya sender is on the top of tank ,if so pull out ya rear carpets and should see a plate ,undo and have a visual, but check ya book first. . . and best oh luck. . .:)

Not sure how much a new or secondhand tank might cost if its not anything the other people here have posted about, but there is a cure if its a split in the tank.

Get hold of a sealant called PRC 1422B or PRC 1422A, comes as a 2 part mix and is used extensively in the aircraft industry (manufacturing and repair). Clean and degrease the effected area, mix all of the little tub into all of the big tub, and paint on. It sets quite quickly and will seal fuel leaks. Works a treat on sealing fuel leaks on aircraft tanks.

Silicone sealant is usually fine for spaceship toilet lines, but as its an outside loo PRC could be a handy option as its heat resistant as well. However, once its set you will probably have to crowbar the parts apart.
