Leaky fuel filter

hello my 90`s had a disco 200tdi fitted, its weaping fuel past the seal and the houseing at first thought it was the ****part filter then tried another still did swoped the spare i had still did it swoped the houseing still did it brought a decent make filter still does it, with the first 2 filters after tighting them by hand i did them with my big pipe pylers untill i coulnt tighten any more, iv took the fuel return pipe out of the tank to check the fuels returning ok wich it is, the only other thing i can think of is if the lift pumps pumping to much pressure but i thought the lost pressure as they got older any ideas thank you.

What about the return line from the pump to the injectors is that damaged?
So the fuel is returning from the injectors only.
Just guessing.
