hi, i've just brought a land rover 110 and when i drove it home i notice the seat was damp, after an inseption it was the sun roof leaking, when i opened it i notice the sun roof had a slight curve to it and when i should it it was sealed both sides but the middle there was a gap. what i want to know is, is the sunroof supposed to have a curve or do i need to replace it because my last land rover didn't have a sunroof so i don't know

many thanks

je ne comprends pas

Iannotts is right about the vaseline, worked on my defender sunroof, but I'm not sure about the fact that when you close it there is still a gap in the middle. Sounds like it's warped or something.

My disco is the same here just have to give it one more twist :D

Rumour has it, some defenders have Disco sunroofs fitted after market. The two are not the same. Mine is exactly the same. I also found I couldnt tighten it down enough to 'straighten the curve' so to speak. What i did do though was tighten the handle, and then wedge a thick piece of card between then hinge of the opener, and the glass of the sunroof. This pulled the glass down that extra little bit, stopping the leak. trouple is, it looks pony, and is a top bodge.

Vasaline worked alright on mine.

I also found that water was coming in where the roof meets the front screen, the rubber seal had slight gaps in which let water come in and sit on the roof lining until i went round a corner and it ****ed all over my legs.

I re-sealed it with a Kent sealant and problem is ( touch wood ) gone.
