Leaking sunroof help please

Hello all,

I took the headlining out of my td5 today as I noticed a slight drip after the heavy rain we’ve had recently.
I put the hose over the roof with the headlining out and found the leak on the drivers side on the part that the pipe joins to the sunroof. It looks like someone has repaired it before as there is some sort of glue still there .

My question is can I put more epoxy or sealant over what’s already there or try to scrap it off first and secondly what to use epoxy or something like CT1 sealant ?

Take it all off and re do it using sikaflex or tiger seal. Make sure its bone dry and consider putting a new tube section. Some have used biros or metal tubes from various sources. Blow the flexible drain tube out while you are there.
