Have a 94 Discovery with a leaking steering box. It would appear to be leaking from the steering input shaft. From the top of the box anyway, the top of the chassis rail is covered in power steering fluid [atf] ? right next to the steering box.
Would like to hear from anyone who has experience of repairing this sort of problem. Would a sealing kit cure it? Would a fresh steering box be a better solution.

Andy, I have a similar issue, but it currently is not critical...however, after doing some searching and checking a few forum when mine becomes too much to bear i will replace the unit with another one...I hear the seal kits are pig and not worth it....
