Leaking lift pump!

Why after I stop my 98 300tdi does the lift pump continue to p1ss out diesel, and why did this just suddenly start one day for no reason! had a similar problem with my power stearing fluid one day it all p1ssed out and the next after filling it up it was fine?

Gremlins or bad luck, the lift pump would probably explain my sh1te mpg too but, its not a drop its a lot, perhaps need to replace it, anything else I need to replace at the same time except the gasket?

If the lift pump doesn't come with union nuts and olives, get two of each. The olives don't like being used twice, can be a pig to seal properly. Don't tighten them (new uns)too much, just nip them up.

AHA! I'll let hem go for what anyone thinks they're worth Raz, been offered £350 from someone coming to look at them tonight, thats nearly there, tyres alone would cost that....
