my mate has a disco 2.when it rains hard water runs down the seatbelts front and rear.he tells me that he has resealed the alpine windows and sunroofs and that the drain tubes are clear anyone got any idea where the problem maybe please?

It's a land rover. They leak. They rust. The doors fall off some models. **** knows why. I've had 10 yr old Japanese cars without a speck of body corrosion - why Land Rover cannot solve the problem of keeping water out and rustproofing the steel is beyond me.

its the gutters rotted out from round the roof above the doors and tracking down the inside of the vehicle

get plenny of sealant ( clear silicone ) smeared into the gutters all the way round and make sure you dont bung up the weep holes on each corner so water can get out

Take the head lining out, spray soapy water on the outside and blow with an airline on the inside, if you don't have an air line set up a sprinkler. they leak at the top of the "A" post, above the tail door through the seam (take the trims of the seams) and also through the roof bar fixings. if using a sprinkler set up some paper wicks inside in the channel around the roof and check to see which one gets wet first and narrow it down that way.
